If you’re shipping Richonne, you’ll be happy to know that this week’s episode was about their long overdue honeymoon. They’re not even engaged or anywhere near marriage, but Michonne and Rick went out looking for guns for Jadis and the dumpster crew, and made it into a baecation.

It can’t all be sadness and depression all the time. And I spent the entire episode feeling like the over protective mother that anticipate danger at every corner. I am SO pessimistic because of this show. I saw Negan in almost every part of the episode and he didn’t even make an appearance.

Michonne and Rick took their van and went hunting for supplies and guns. They weren’t even supposed to be out there that long, but Rick begged Michonne to add a few more days to their hunt.  They barely found any supplies, but they sure made up for that downer by having sexy time at night in the back of the van. Every night. No shower.

Any who, at one point they find some saviors playing golf in an open lawn and stole their batteries and supplies. I’m sure they won’t be missed, so I wasn’t all that worried.  I lie. The entire time I thought that they would turn around and notice them and Negan would show up to stick the golf club into Rick’s eye. On the other hand, Michonne and Rick seemed to be as relaxed as two cucumbers at the beach.

They kept looking for places they had never looked through, till they found a carnival that looked promising, because the zombies roaming the grounds were carrying guns. Michonne shot a few of the gun carriers from a distance, but before they could go pick up the guns, they fell through the ground to a basement. They fell right into a basement filled with packaged food.

Michonne and Rick were as ecstatic as they were starving. I, on the other hand, almost went into cardiac arrest, already imagining an elaborate booby trap from Negan.

And what better way to make the day even more eventful, then a candlelit dinner for two. Actually, it was two cans of food and they were still in the basement, but it was romantic all the same. Rick even turns Michonne on with his lure of chili and mac and cheese. It’s amazing how easy it is for canned food to oh-so-obviously lead to sex in the zombie apocalypse.

After collecting their food and guns—63 to be exact, more than enough for Janis—they almost get out of the carnival winning, but end up with zombie crowding. They jumped over a ferris wheel and all.  Michonne almost lost her mind when she couldn’t see Rick for a sec and all the zombies were crowded together eating a deer. She thought that deer was Rick. [sidenote: That deer was so fake]

Then Rick came in shooting and everyone began to breathe again. Well, some of us. I knew they can’t kill Rick without giving him some Negan revenge.  But, we did get to see what Michonne’s reaction to Rick dying would be and it looks like she almost surrendered herself to the walkers.

She was so distraught from the experience, that after packing up the food and guns, Rick had to have a talk with her about the possibility of him dying. It looked a lot like foreshadowing, but I wouldn’t know because I’m in denial.

They bring the guns to Jadice who says that 63 is not enough. Are you kidding me? They want more?? 63 is the equivalent of a small army in the zombie apocalypse. Rick even has to negotiate with Jadice just to get some of the guns back, just to be able to get more. That may mean stealing from one of Negan’s bases. I don’t even want to imagine the trouble that will come with that.

Here’s what happened with some of the others:

Rosita is on full-time bitch mode. She gives Tara attitude when she can’t find any guns declaring the mission as impossible. We find out why she didn’t shoot Negan when she had the chance. It wasn’t Negan’s luck, but Gabriel’s advice that made her miss. Rosita tells Gabriel off for his advice and hopefulness. She’s at a point where she just wants to die.

This prompts, from what I can tell, a suicide mission and she reaches out to Sasha for help. Sasha, the same person she gave attitude to because of Abraham. Sasha will assist her mission to break into Negan headquarters and it looks like both of them are going to risk their lives. It’s almost like both of them have nothing to live. This makes them the two most likely candidates for a season finale death. Either they both go or one is left behind to deal with the guilt.

Tara pulls Rick to the side and tells him that she has something to tell him. Brace yourselves, she’s about to spill the beans about oceanside!!

What did you think about the Walking Dead honeymoon edition? What about Rosita’s issues?
